Laser hair removal is a safe and effective treatment for the removal of unwanted hair.
To achieve the best results for our patients, we use the newest, most innovative hair removal laser available today: the Splendor X by Lumenis. The Splendor X treats all skin types, produces faster results than other hair removal systems and, according to our patients, is virtually pain free!
With Splendor X’s revolutionary Blend X technology, we can treat all skin types as well as hair color and texture. Blend X technology is a synchronized combination of Alexandrite 755nm and Nd:YAG 1064nm wavelengths. This synchronization allows our dermatologists and aestheticians to tailor the treatment according to each individual patients’ skin type, hair color and hair thickness.
Many areas can be treated such as the face, underarms, chest, back, bikini area, and legs. While most of our patients report little to no pain, this can vary from patient to patient. For this reason, we offer to apply a topical anesthetic cream to numb the area before treatment. The procedure may last as little as ten minutes or up to an hour depending on the area(s) treated.
Approximately 8 treatments are required, occasionally more treatments may be needed depending on the area being treated, the color of your skin, and the color of your hair. Hormonal areas (such as the face, neck, and back) take longer to treat.
Treatments are scheduled once every 4-6 weeks. Compliance with the recommended treatment spacing is important and will improve the effectiveness of the treatment.
With the improved ergonomic handpiece, square shape laser spot technology is used to provide faster and fuller coverage of the treatment area, with larger spots penetrating deeper. A unique UV Skin Marking provides an easy grid matrix to follow. This results in no overlap, no burns, and no retouching missed areas.
