Dr. Andrew D. Breithaupt is an internationally-recognized expert and thought leader in dermatologic surgery. He is double board-certified in both dermatology and dermatologic surgery. He has performed over 20,000 surgical procedures with a particular emphasis on Mohs micrographic surgery and complex reconstruction. Through meticulous training and deep experience, Dr. Breithaupt delivers masterful surgical results for even the most challenging of cases.
After receiving his M.D. from UC San Diego, Dr. Breithaupt completed his residency in Dermatology at UCLA. Following residency, he performed a fellowship at UCLA in Mohs surgery, reconstructive plastic surgery and cosmetic dermatology. This exclusive training, undertaken by only one physician per year at UCLA, integrates the fields of plastic surgery, facial plastic surgery, oculoplastic surgery, and dermatologic surgery giving Dr. Breithaupt a unique and wide-range spectrum of surgical talent.
Dr. Breithaupt is also an Associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology at UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. He volunteers his time to teach medical students, residents and fellows at UCLA. He particularly enjoys the care of veterans at the West LA Veterans Hospital.
Dr. Breithaupt is a leader and expert in the field of dermatologic surgery and cosmetic dermatology. He has published over twenty scientific articles, authored four book chapters, and given over twenty-five presentations at scientific meetings. He brings to his work a sound scientific foundation combined with an artful eye to meet the challenge of reconstructive and cosmetic work.
Dr. Breithaupt and his wife and children live in Hermosa Beach. He is an avid surfer, athlete, and traveler and can often be found in the water off the coast or along The Strand.

Our current hours of operation are Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM to 5 PM, and Friday, 8:30 AM to 4 PM. We are closed on Saturday and Sunday. Please suggest any new hours if needed.
